I began teaching in 1996 and tried (and mostly enjoyed) teaching in a few schools for a number of years. I finally found my teaching home in 2002 and have been here ever since in a variety of roles. Boxgrove is a very special place and I could not be more proud of everyone who forms part of this community. It is a privilege to lead such a committed and talented team of professionals in the pursuit of excellence for every child and their family. I love every day at work but especially Wednesdays as that’s when Mrs Stacey and I get busy making plans together for what we can do next to make Boxgrove the best it can be.
I have been working for almost 20 years in education. Working with children has always been a passion for me and I absolutely love walking into work every day! Children are so unique and fascinating and talking to the children provides me with so much joy. I have always loved working alongside the supportive community at Boxgrove. I never fail to smile every single day and am quite often found laughing loudly somewhere at something someone has said or done! Working alongside Mrs Fitch is a real pleasure and we love thinking through ways to make Boxgrove an engaging place for the children to learn, play and grow.
Securing a teaching position 11 years ago at Boxgrove was the best move I’ve ever made and I’ve never looked back. Not only am I lucky enough to love my role as Assistant Head teacher, leading on pastoral care and safeguarding, but I also get to spend every day working alongside the best Boxgrove family who care enormously about their team. Prior to taking on this role you could find me in the classroom full time, where I spent 13 years, instilling a love of picture books, story writing, cooking and the great outdoors.
I have had the privilege of working at Boxgrove for 20 years and. I have stayed because I cannot imagine working anywhere that is as special as our school. I look forward to coming to work every day because the children and adults are just brilliant! I love teaching in all year groups but my great passions are teaching in the Early Years and teaching science. In my Assistant Headteacher role I am committed to giving the very best to leading inclusion at Boxgrove. My other great passion is our very own Cafe B!
Since joining Boxgrove School in 2009, I have been Computing Lead, Music Lead and Lower Key Stage 2 Lead (amongst other things!). I am now Community Assistant Headteacher and feel that Boxgrove is my second home. I’m very privileged to be able to teach and learn here alongside the children and staff.

I joined the Boxgrove team in January 2020 having worked in primary education for the past 33 years. Arriving at Boxgrove, I quickly discovered what a caring, inclusive school it is and what a friendly staff team exists here. Outside of work, I play hockey each week and love to go skiing but sadly, not often enough.
I am very lucky to have been working at Boxgrove for over 10 years now- it really is a great place to be! Throughout my time at Boxgrove, I have taught in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. I love to read stories and I enjoy being creative! Outdoor learning is a passion of mine and I can’t wait to visit Forest School with you!
I joined Boxgrove in 2012 in Reception! I then taught in Year 5 for six years and I am currently in my third year in Year 3. I love working with children of all ages and in my role as Key Stage 2 Phase Leader I get to support and help many of our children across the school. My passions are sport, history, geography and making learning fun!
I have worked at Boxgrove since 2019, having previously worked on the Isle of Wight and in Hove. I adore working here, especially in my role as curriculum lead which involves working with everyone in all the year groups. If you don’t find me in my classroom teaching, then you may find me up at the allotment battling with the weeds and pigeons.
I have been teaching in Year 6 at Boxgrove for many years and love all the topics we have in Year 6. My passion is reading and I love helping children to develop a love of reading.
I have been working as the school SENCO and member of the senior management team at Boxgrove for the past 4 years having been in this varied, fulfilling role, in my previous two schools, for a further 8 years . Prior to that I was a class teacher and year group / phase leader for 12 years teaching all ages from Rec to Year 6. In my spare time I love playing tennis, walking, and singing! I live with Alan, my husband , and have 2 teenage boys as well as 2 wonderful grown up step children .
